Camp Hale Campground is in the area that was once home of the 10th Mountain Division, which trained here for alpine warfare during World War II. Take the main Camp Hale turn-off at the view area and follow the road straight across the valley. When you reach the T intersection go right. There are 21 campsites and water, toilets, fire rings, picnic tables, and some shade. The one-night fee is $21. For reservations visit Recreation.gov. Hornsilver Campground
