The road to the top of <a href=\"http:\/\/www.motorcyclecolorado.com\/mount_evans.htm\">Mount Evans<\/a> has closed, so that means other roads can&#8217;t be far behind.<\/p>\n<p>Others that close for the winter include:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><a href=\"http:\/\/www.motorcyclecolorado.com\/trail_ridge_road.htm\">Trail Ridge Road<\/a><\/li>\n<li><a href=\"http:\/\/www.motorcyclecolorado.com\/dirt_roads_and_side_trips.htm#kebler\">Kebler Pass<\/a><\/li>\n<li><a href=\"http:\/\/www.motorcyclecolorado.com\/independence_pass.htm\">Independence Pass<\/a><\/li>\n<li>the Pike&#8217;s Peak Road<\/li>\n<li><a href=\"http:\/\/www.motorcyclecolorado.com\/cottonwood_pass.htm\">Cottonwood Pass<\/a><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>You can keep tabs on which of these are still open, as well as get real-time info on road conditions around the state at the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.cotrip.org\/home.htm\" target=\"_blank\">Colorado Department of Transportation site<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>The other roads are maintained all year round but you never know when they&#8217;ll be getting snow. The truth of the matter is, although I ride down here on the flatland all year round, I almost never ride in the mountains after October. There are more hardy riders than me, though. <a href=\"http:\/\/redlegsrides.blogspot.com\/\" target=\"_blank\">Redleg<\/a> comes to mind. He seems to ride anywhere he wants any time he wants.
