I came across this link I haven’t clicked on for a long time and ended up going deeply in.<\/p>\n

On the Adventure Riders forum there is this Colorado Front Range Tag-O-Rama<\/a> thread that I’ve participated in previously and after many years it is still going strong. In fact, I was amazed to see that there are currently 21,135 posts to this thread. Wow.<\/p>\n

What is Tag-O-Rama? It’s a game where someone posts a photo of their bike in a shot with some landmark or whatever, and then everyone else tries to figure out where it is and then be the first person to ride out there and get a shot of your bike to show you found it. You then post a shot of your bike somewhere and once again the game is afoot.<\/p>\n

The initial post was made on December 23, 2010. Sixteen years later it’s still going.<\/p>\n

This time around I started with the newest posts and worked my way backward. There are 20 posts per page and I must have gone through 30 or more pages. There’s a lot of fun going on here.<\/p>\n

I was struck, though, by how frequently of late the tags are just of buildings. Early on in the game any kind of weird roadside thing you might pass by was likely to show up. Maybe in all this time all that crazy stuff has just been tagged and retagged enough that the players are scraping a bit to come up with something new.<\/p>\n

That’s kind of hard to imagine–for me at least–considering that there have been so many times I have been out somewhere and passed something and said to myself, that would be a great tag. Maybe if I had the endurance to go through 1,057 pages I would find that all these things I’ve noted have been tagged sometime past. Maybe I need to get back in the game.<\/p>\n
